SURVEYINGJOBS.COM is operated by PLANNINGJOBS.COM Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13319606), registered office: 14 Jersey Meadow, Kentford, Suffolk CB8 7GJ. VAT registration number: 380199480. By accessing and using this website, or by booking an advert, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Website Usage & Data Logging
We collect standard access information such as IP addresses, browser type, access times, requested URLs, and referral sources. This data is used for site administration, troubleshooting, and aggregate analytics. It is not linked to personally identifiable information and is only accessed internally on a need-to-know basis. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
2. Cookies
This website uses cookies to enhance functionality and improve user experience. Cookies may be used to remember preferences, measure usage, and support site features. Some third-party services may also use cookies. Which cookies we use, and how to change your choice, is set out in the Cookies section of our Privacy Policy.
3. External Links
We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or security of external websites linked from this site, including employers' own application pages. Users should review the privacy policies and terms of any third-party sites before sharing personal information.
4. Linking to This Website
You are welcome to link to any public page of this website, provided the link is fair and lawful and does not suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement where none exists. We may ask for a link to be removed at any time.
5. Advertising Products
We offer Standard, Featured and Premium job adverts, together with optional add-ons. Current inclusions and prices are shown on our Advertise page. In summary:
- Standard adverts are listed for 30 days.
- Featured adverts are listed for 30 days and include LogoBooster placement of the advertiser's logo on the front page.
- Premium adverts are listed for up to 60 days, appear in the Premium Jobs section of the front page, include LogoBooster, and are listed at the top of matching searches (see section 6).
Listing periods run from the date the advert goes live. We may, at our discretion and at no extra charge, keep an advert visible after its listing period or closing date, marked as closed or open until filled. Advertisers may ask for an advert to be removed at any time.
Add-ons: Top Job runs for 30 days and Job of the Week for 7 days. Each is limited to three at a time; if all are taken, your booking starts in the next free slot. A Refresh moves a live advert back to the top of the latest jobs, marked "Refreshed".
Partner plans (Partner, Partner Plus and Partner National) run for 12 months and allow up to the stated number of jobs live at any one time, plus the stated number of Premium adverts, which must be used within the 12 months. Partner Plus and Partner National are for organisations hiring their own staff. Agencies may take the Partner plan only, which allows up to 5 jobs live at any one time; agency adverts placed under a Partner plan are supplied by the agency rather than taken from its website, and carry the Agency label.
6. Fair Display Policy
Premium adverts are listed at the top of keyword, location and filtered searches that they match, and on matching job title and location pages. Premium adverts that do not match a search are not shown in its results. The full list of all jobs, reached without a search, is shown newest first, with Premium adverts highlighted in date order.
Premium, Featured, Top Job and LogoBooster placements may rotate randomly within their designated sections so that every advertiser receives fair visibility. Rotation means the order and position of an advert may change between visits. Please contact us if you would like further clarification on how this operates.
7. Agencies
SURVEYINGJOBS.COM is a specialist board for direct employers. Agencies are welcome to advertise, but the number of live agency adverts per agency may be limited, and agency adverts must relate to genuine, current vacancies. We may label adverts from direct employers and from agencies accordingly. Agencies may take the Partner plan (up to 5 jobs live at any one time) but not Partner Plus or Partner National.
8. Advert Content
Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of their adverts, including compliance with employment and equality law. We may edit adverts for format and length, and may decline or remove any advert that is inaccurate, misleading, or unsuitable for the site.
9. Prices, Offers & Payment
All prices exclude VAT. Promotional offers apply to bookings made within the stated offer period and end on the date shown. Credit packs and annual partnerships are valid for 12 months from purchase unless agreed otherwise in writing. Adverts are invoiced on booking; payment terms are stated on the invoice. An advert may go live before a purchase order is raised. Recognised advertising agencies may receive a standard commission, agreed in writing.
Offer codes we email to an organisation are for that organisation only, can be used once, and are valid for 30 days from the date of the email. They cannot be combined with other offers or credit, and have no cash value.
10. Cancellations & Refunds
- Before an advert goes live, a booking may be cancelled free of charge by email or telephone.
- Once an advert is live, the fee is non-refundable. Adverts may be amended free of charge at any time, and if the vacancy is filled before the listing period ends, the advert may be replaced with another vacancy from the same employer for the remainder of that period at no extra cost.
- Duplicate or mistaken bookings reported promptly will be cancelled and credited in full.
- If we fail to publish an advert as booked, we will extend its listing period free of charge or refund the fee for the period it was not shown.
- Credit packs and annual partnerships are non-refundable. Unused credit expires 12 months after purchase and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Adverts removed for breaching these terms (see section 8) are not refunded.
11. Copyright & Intellectual Property
All content, text, and design elements on this website are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Reproduction or redistribution without permission is prohibited. Advertisers grant us permission to display their adverts, names and logos on this website, in job alerts and newsletters, and in our promotion of their adverts.
12. Communication

13. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, civil unrest, or government actions. Affected parties must notify the other and make reasonable efforts to resume obligations.
14. Waiver
Failure to enforce any provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. No waiver shall be effective unless expressly stated in writing and signed by both parties.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. By using this website, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in all disputes arising from access or use.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site signifies your acceptance of any changes. Updates will be posted on this page and, where applicable, communicated via email or other channels. Bookings are governed by the terms in force on the date of booking.
17. Agreement
These Terms & Conditions form part of the agreement between you (the user or advertiser) and PLANNINGJOBS.COM Ltd. Your use of this website, or your booking of an advert, constitutes acceptance of these terms and our Disclaimer Notice. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
18. Free Listings
To help surveyors find every vacancy in one place, we may list vacancies free of charge. Free listings show a short summary of key facts written by us, never the employer's own advert text, with a link to the employer's advert to apply. They may be limited to a few per employer at a time, and are removed when the vacancy closes. Employers can ask us to correct or remove a listing at any time by emailing jobs@surveyingjobs.com; we will do so within one working day.
